Step 20: Installing Drives



Cheetah in the Lower Bay of the Burly Enclosure.

Note how the drive is relatively centered inside the enclosure, not too close to the front fans.
You want your drive pushed as far towards the rear of the enclosure as possible.
This maximizes airflow over the drive surfaces.

Installing Your Drives

  1. Set the drive down inside the Burly Enclosure. There is a shelf that will engage the 3-5-inch to 5.25-inch drive brackets as you insert the drive. Make sure you set your first drive down low, in the lower drive bay. (Yes, we are emphasizing the obvious).
