  This combination is plug and play simple to use with Macs or PCs. Gives unparalleled performance on any bus. Select your choice of either a Burly One Bay with an eSATA connection or a Burly with Firewire 1394b and USB2.0 connections on the back. We'll include the external cables as well so you can plug into just about any computer imaginable.

 The Burly comes with an internal power supply and cooling fan. This will provide the cleanest desktop with no brick power supply to add to your collection. And the Burly is future upgradeable with whatever new optical technology comes out replacing DVD-R and DVD-RAM in the future. For instance BlueRay when it becomes financially reasonable to use. The Burly One Bay enclosure will be able to handle most any device you care to use in it down the line including hard drives.


Plextor SuperDrive

 MacGurus has always liked the Plextor burners - going way back to our SCSI days. This one is no exception. Superior speeds in all categories. Reliable and natively supported by OSX in both Disk Burn and iDVD. The PX-810SA is a native SATA drive, so we can attach it directly to any of our SATA enclosures or to the excellent Oxford 924 Firewire USB2 bridge in our Firewire Burly.

 Note: The connector on the rear of the enclosure is eSATA. This is the connector that has the straight center piece. If you are connecting to an internal SATA connector at the computer, the one with the 'L' shaped internal component, then you should select one of the eSATA to TypeA cables.
